Caroline
I have managed to talk to Caroline and she seems to be doing well. A variety of tubes have been removed, including an epidural, the dreaded lung drain and the neck lines. She feels more human. She is now on morphine (which she controls) for her pain relief and that seems to be OK.
Our only concern is that she is experiencing chronic indigestion. She is still being "fed" by a drip and currently she is on 15mls and needs to be on 75mls. The medical team will increase the food by 5mls gradually. She needs to be on 75mls for nutrition and strength.
Please pray that she will increase her mobility (this aids digestion) and that she will be able to digest the food she is on.
Visitors
Caroline still gets tired very quickly and whilst she does welcome visitors she finds it exhausting. Please be sensitive about this and either contact me or Liz Taylor if you want to visit her. It could be that we may need to cancel any prearranged visits. The priority at the moment is for her to build up her strength, so if you do visit you may have to keep it short. Thanks.
Selection Conference
Thank you for your prayers about the journeys all went well. Weekend is going fine. One of the candidates, John, is getting a cold. Please pray for healing for him.
Family
The children saw Caroline yesterday, Nathan was still a bit spooked, seeing Caroline ill . Bessie is still suffering from a cold. I have not been able to talk them and I do miss them.
Thank you for your continued prayers and thoughts.
