some details on the operation

We have just heard from our nurse Claire and she has given us some further news on the operation.

Caroline's operation will happen using a laproscopy. It is a bit like keyhole surgery!! This means she will not have a large scar across her abdomen.
What is even more amazing is that she might not even need General anaethesitic, but an epidural!! However we might have got this wrong.
I have been advised that it is pointless me hanging around the hospital on the day of the op. However I do have a direct phone number for the nurse who will be looking after Caroline and so will be able to get the latest news.
