Prayer Pointers Feb #1

We are so grateful to David and Mim who have organised a time of prayer for us. They have committed themselves, along with many others to pray for us every Thursday evening between 7.30pm - 8.00pm GMT.
What follows is what David has prepared for this time, so others who cannot make this meeting can join in prayer.

  • Praise & Prayer ---- 1 Chronicles 29:10-13
  • Confession & faith -- James 5:14-16
  • Present your requests & recieve Peace -Philippians 4:6-7.

Prayer Pointers

Hospital & health

  • Thanks for the continued recovery after the Laparoscopy last Monday.
  • The post-operative drugs Caroline has taken are making her feel uncomfortable. Pray for relief.
  • Continued weight gain (This is a good thing!)
  • Build up of strength and stamina for the operation on the 20th Feb.
  • Caroline goes into St.Thomas' hospital on the 19th and has the operation on the 20th. Pray for God- anointed skill and wisdom for the surgical team carrying out the operation.
  • Give thanks thatteh hospital can offer 'key-hole' surgery. This means a quicker recovery.

Family

  • Ray - Able to cope with a demanding job and family committements. Ray has a weekend away ona Church Army Selection Conference on the 24-26 Feb.
  • Caroline's parents - Bessie and Arthur are coming to help while Caroline is in hospital. Not easy for grandparents to cope with unfamiliar routines & appliances.
  • Nathan & Bethany - Not to be too anxious while their mum is in hospital. To trust in Jesus.
  • Half Term break - The children have a week off school before the operation. Pray that the family will have a lovely time together that will sustain them in the weeks to come.
  • Hospital visiting. - The children will be able to see mum the Wednesday after the operation. Pray that they may be at peace.
  • Church Family - To be faithful in prayer. to show care without being instrusive and to help orangnise meals once Caroline is out of hospital and Ray has to be away.

Caroline's Work

  • Thanks for the Mustard Seed Nursery in being so supportive and helpful. (Caroline has been given 1 month sick pay and her job is secure).
