Caroline
I know this update is long overdue but at present I am finding it very hard to find the energy to do things, so please accept my apologies.
My situation has not changed much from the last update, I am still losing weight and now weigh 5st 12, I feel very thin and do not have much stamina, but alongside this I am due my B12 injection (which I am having on Wed) so I suspect I am probably aneamic which would account for part of the problem. Food still doesn't want to go down very easily and I still can't take much in at a time but I have my next meeting with my consultant and dietician on Friday (last one was 3 months ago) . They haven't seen me since the weight loss so it will be interesting to see what they say; I also have a long list of questions to ask! Over the last 2 weeks the heartburn and indigestion have come back with a vengeance which seems odd as I have not had them for weeks, another of my questions.
On the plus side , my dads' 80th birthday meal was lovely and I managed to eat something and not be sick, the staff were very unobtrusive and welcoming and we all enjoyed it. The journey to Worcester and back was manageable although the next week I had no energy and did very little. It gave me a chance to sit in the sun and read a book!!
Ray
Was very tired after all his travelling but survived the week and had some good meetings and conversations with people. He is now about to embark on the next travelling slot which goes on and off right through to the end of July and includes most of the weekends, he is even away on his birthday!
Nathan
Spent last week in Sandymouth Bay in Bude on his year 6 school journey. He had a fantastic time and the weather couldn't have been better especially with the type of activities, boogy boarding, rifle shooting, canoeing, rock climbing, swimming.... I think you get the picture. He came back with no voice which I think just about says it all and the teachers they went with were fantastic!! The 3 of us are going to meet the head teacher of his knew school tomorrow.
Bethany
Seemed to get upset in the middle of her SAT's and we had a few wobbly moments but the SAT's are all over now and she's near enough back to her bouncy self although we feel there may be some knock on effects from the past few months experiences as we are still getting some tears and trauma over things that wouldn't normally effect her.
Prayer points
Eating and weight gain
Cessation of indigestion and heart burn
Clear and helpful consultation on Friday with answers to questions
That the B12 injection kicks in fast
Safety for Ray and good energy levels while travelling and strength for me while he is away
Wisdom with Bethany and also Nathan
That we can have some fun together.
