Well, I have now had 2 morphine free days, which feels a relief after being on it for 7 weeks. I have tried to wean myself off gradually so I am hoping for no withdrawal symptoms. I do have the odd twinges of pain but I feel these are now preferable to being on the morphine. So now I am solely on parecetamol.
The not so good news is that I have been losing weight this week and am really struggling to get any food down and if I do, keep it down. So I might have to ring the dietition for advice, I can't really afford to lose any more weight.
Ray is trying to work from home as much as possible now the children are on holiday, to help out with meals, which is a great help to me and it's good to feel like a family again.
Bethany and Nathan are well and winding down after their stressful term. On Monday Nathan took his grade 4 trumpet exam, then on Tuesday morning he set off on scout camp and will not be back till Sunday, which will be a great way for him to wind down. Where praying he's not getting too cold in his tent with sub zero temps at night!!
Please pray for the food issues that are such a struggle at present and for God's grace that I can
see the positives and not dwell on the difficulties.
