Putting on the grammes!!

There are many unusual things that need to happen at the moment. The first thing is for Caroline to put on weight and despite all the nausea, heartburn and other lovely side effects, she has!! It might only be 1gm but the usual scenario is to loose weight!! So a big thanks to all your prayers on this.

Caroline has finally got some really helpful advice, by our GP and nursing friends, on how to gradually cut down on the morphine and also how to manage her constipation.

Yesterday was not a good day for her. She was feeling very sick after eating anything. She does not feel like eating today, but she has made up her special milkshakes and will be having that.

Unusual food supplement
Calogen - comes in a variety of flavours - natural, strawberry, banana. It doesn't matter what the flavour is - it is still horrible. So what is calogen? It is a combination of vegetable oils (mainly peanut oil) mixed with an emulsifier. It looks like paint! Is packed with calories and makes you want to vomit when you have it!. Caroline has to take this stuff everyday!! She has found that mixing it with her high calorie milkshake makes it more palatable.

Ray this weekend
Ray is away at another conference in Sheffield. He left yesterday to meet up with some people in Thirsk - the cafe at Tesco (It's a glamorous life on the road).

The conference is a vocation conference, which he is facilitating with another Church Army evangelist - Diana. Only problem is that he is fighting off a bad cold!! Remember him in your prayers. Especially that he will be able to lead the weekend and drive back safely.
