The Khans of Tulse Hill

The Khans of Tulse Hill

Greetings to all, another update follows.

Caroline
I've had a few fairly good weeks food wise although I still lose weight every 3rd week in general and am now down to 6st 2lbs so I should imagine I will reach a plateau at some point and then start gaining some. (I'm hopeful anyway). I certainly feel as if I have more energy and people have said that my face is looking a little fuller so that's great news. Food is still a problem going down but has just become a part of life now, though not pleasant. I managed to go to a wedding on Sat and a bbq which felt good, a bit of normality, I had to spend most of Monday not doing anything as I was so tired after it, but it was worth it to enjoy the experience! The thing that has really revolutionised my life was a visit from the district nurse who ordered me a matress and a cushion that moulds to the body shape, this helps ease the pressure on bones and muscles when sitting or lying and is really comfortable. Unfortunately for Ray, the matress takes up 2/3 of the bed so it's pay back time for all the times he nicked most of the bed! We are celebrating my dads' 80th birthday on June 4th and going out for a slap up meal, which could be an interesting experience.

Ray

Ray is travelling a lot over this week and also did quite a lot last week so it has been a busy time for him interviewing and lecturing and tiring with all the driving but it does mean he gets a whole bed to himself!

Nathan

Nathan finally got the results for his grade 4 trumpet and he did pass so we are very proud of him with all that's been happening. We have also survived SAT's week which he breezed through, his only complaint was that at the end of the maths paper there is normally a really challenging question and there wasn't one this year. He has been out and about a lot and spent a day at the docklands water centre, canoeing, dragon boat racing, sailing etc and had a great time which seemed a suitable ending to the SAT's.

Bethany

Bethany is also in the middle of SAT's but I don't think she really knows when she's doing them, it's very low key and we haven't mentioned it to her so she's not worried. She's doing really well in her english, her teacher wrote me a note about how exciting it was reading her work at the moment because of her descriptions. She writes as she speaks, full of expression.

Prayer points

Food and weight gain
Dad's 80th, that I'll cope with the food and the travelling to Worcester and back.
Ray for strength and also safety.
